This refreshing sparkling wine is a straw color with fine bubbles. Aromas of fresh citrus, with hints of honey and flowers. Crisp acidity is balanced by flavors of citrus, peach, and green apples. Grapes are estate grown in the Friuli province of northeastern Italy. Made from 100% Glera grapes whose indigenous origins are in the village of Prosecco 35km to the east of the Benvolio vineyards. Soils of gravel and sand stress the vines while providing exceptional drainage. Warm air from the Adriatic Sea with cool night breezes from the snow covered Alps provide higher acidity to the wine, balancing the natural sugars of the Glera grape. Our vineyards also focus on sustainability. Low environmental impact systems and solutions are tested both for the cultivation and for the protection from diseases. We participate in ongoing research and development from selection of new clones to the use of cutting edge farming practices, identifying irrigation and pruning methods that are more in line with protecting the environment.
